Below is a small glimpse into DisBack Productions creative storytelling world - ALL SELF-FUNDED and proudly so!

Over many years we've written original stories that are intricately woven through film, photography, paintings and the written word; crafting art.

Working again with William Browning, (Writer/Lead Actor in this film) We talked at length about the content and idea, Vladimir Miller and Notes From Underground made a track, apparently inspired by me, called Film Music and I just happen to pick it out of hundreds of 'not named" .mp3's - bizarre synchronicity!

Let's go back a bit to 2014 - I borrowed a decent Canon Digital Camera and a couple of willing creatives to help make this film. I had been assisting at our Pleasing Drama classes and watched how Talulah and Chloe had developed their acting, both their parents are friends so I suggested we make a film. With the music, I had a play off between acoustic guitar played by Ian McKean and piano played by Vladimir Miller: the music was completely improvised, playing against one another in a front room.

Ghosts of The Gulag

“The Truth Is Plain 2c” by SIBENSIS is an audio/visual commercial release, one of the worlds first double disc DVD&CD released in 2006 - it has 9 Tracks and is 1hr long. colinrussell was overall producer who formulated the idea, got everyone together and saw the project to fruition.
This one track example - SIBENSIS 3, WATER is indicative of how progressive this project was at the time. Play it and remember....TURN UP THE VOLUME!

Vladimir Miller showed me some photographs of an old abandoned Gulag in far eastern Russia. From that colin wrote the story; colin then asked Oliver Kester to do the narration, On request Vladimir sent colin multiple music tracks which colin edited and cut together with a load of ambient sound effects. Finally, colin applied some filters to the photographs to create a mood. We are very proud of the phenominal result we achieved.
